My studio is based around the following system.
A Gigabyte P67A-UD5-B3 with a Intel Core i7 2600K running at 3.4 Ghz. 8GB of RAM and twin ASUS 5450 graphics cards with a total of three monitors attached. Two used for a widescreen view of Sonar, the other for use over my main keyboard rack.
Multiple HDs take care of storage with separate drives for OS, Progams, Audio data, and Samples.
All of that is housed in a Fractal Design "Define R3" case for "silent" running.
My interface is an Allen & Heath ZED-R16, monitored via a pair of Behringer Truth B2031A monitors.
Outboard gear includes Yamaha FX900 and Boss GT-6 guitar processors, Digitech Studio Quad V2 for general effects, Phonic PCL 3200 Compressor. Headphone monitoring via a Behringer Powerplay Pro 8.
Keyboards include a Casio CTK-671 and a Yamaha P-35 digital piano. External synths are a Casio HT-6000 and a Roland Sonic Cell.
DAW control and MIDI input via a Edirol PCR-800. Further control surfaces are an MCU & XT, with ACT control via a Behringer BCF2000 and the MIDI control section of the ZED-R16.
I also go mobile with a HP Elitebook 8760w running an Intel Core i7-2670M @ 2.20 Ghz with 12GB RAM and dual Hard drives both 500 GB at 7200 rpm. For an interface I use a Roland Tri-capture for simple use or the ZED-R16 if I need that sort of ability.
